Ben Folds Five are reuniting for a special one-off performance this month in North Carolina.

The show is for the benefit of the Operation Smile charity and will see them play their 1999 album "The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner".

Speaking to Rolling Stone the boys explained the reasoning behind their choosing that album "[The album] was actually written to be one song of many movements, which is why there are motifs that appear throughout the album. That should make Reinhold a natural to be played front to back.".

Should you happen to be in North Carolina this month, the show is scheduled for September 18 in Chapel Hill, NC at the UNC Memorial Hall.
