When Jack Rose died suddenly of a heart attack last December there was an outpouring of emotion for a quiet unassuming star.

It didn't just affect his hometown of Philadelphia, the grief stretched worldwide for someone who passed away far too early.

Now, a group of his friends have teamed up to release a massive tribute album in his memory. Coming in at a massive six-and-a-half hours, the compilation includes contributions from Six Organs of Admittance, Sunburned Hand of the Man, Bardo Pond, the No Neck Blues Band, Pelt, MV & EE and Elisa Ambrogio of Magik Markers fame.

Honest Strings: A Tribute to the Life and Work of Jack Rose is for sale right now from FINA, Thrill Jockey's digital store. It's yours for the ridiculously cheap price of $15, with all proceeds going to Rose's estate.
