Lostprophets were left in a bit of a pickle during their V Festival in Staffordshire this weekend when guitarist Lee Gaze disappeared.

He managed the band's show at the previous leg of V-Fest the day before in Chelmsford but had to rush off before his planned appearance the next day to tend to his pregnant wife.

The band explained to fans:

"Lostprophets want to thank all of their fans - old and new - for supporting them at V Festival in Chelmsford and Stafford this weekend.

"The band would like to apologise for the absence of guitarist Lee Gaze for the majority of the set on Sunday at Stafford. He was at a nearby hospital with his heavily pregnant wife and dashed to the festival site as soon as he was able to play the last few songs.

"Everything is fine with all the family."
